My Fourth Grade Teacher Inspired Me
By Haley P

The person who inspired me was my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Spalding. She inspired me in so many ways. She changed my life in ways I will always remember.

Mrs. Spalding was very strict. She wouldn’t let you do anything wrong. She would truly enforce rules. And she wouldn’t let you turn anything in late or else you would get a grave grade. That made me very organized because she made it so you would be on time and always be prepared.

She would also make us do our best on our work. She would expect us to get A’s and B’s. She would have a conference with you to discus what you missed if you got a C. If you didn’t ace your test she would keep teaching you that subject until you did ace it. If you brought your homework in for a whole week she would give you peppermint candies. That helped me to always be on time because it would encourage us to try to be on top.

And she had high expectations. She would expect us to have back round knowledge on the subject we were learning because then she would be able to go onto the next lesson faster. Even though no one can be perfect. That helped me to stay positive and keep trying.

Even though I didn’t like Mrs. Spalding very much she did teach me good lessons and she inspired me to do great things. That is why Mrs. Spalding, my fourth grade teacher, inspired me.
